Surgical Simulation Curriculum at Boston Children’s Hospital: Improving Skills, Outcomes, and Value

Since 2012, the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital has implemented a surgical simulation curriculum in pediatric orthopaedics, designed to improve trainee education and optimize patient safety outcomes. The purpose this review is briefly describe current Hospital; provide an example how these efforts safety, outcomes, value; discuss recent innovations that are paving road future improvements.
